Lecture Qigong Sensory Therapy
Qigong Sensory Therapy or Qigong massage comes from China. In China, this therapy has been used for thousands of years to treat a variety of disorders in children and adults. The Qigong Sensory Therapy programma (QST) has been developed for children with autism. The treatment can be given by parents at home and ensures that the symptoms of autism are noticeably reduced.
Research indicatest that Qigong Theraphy works in children with autism, Down’s syndrome, ADHD/ADD, as well as cerebral palsy and sensory information processing problems (SI/SPD).
Children with developmental or behavioral problems often have trouble being touched and therefore avoid physical contact. A Qigong massage will improve physical contact.
On this evening it is explained what QST entails, what scientific research into the functioning of QST has yielded and how the therapy process works. There will be a demonstration and opportunity to ask questions.
